The pilot premiered on FX Oct 5. It was highly anticipated and didn’t give away much on their website or in trailers. It lived up to the hype and will be a True Blood like force amongst horror tv shows. It’s weird, creepy and stylish.

it involved multiple storylines and within the hour pilot there is a lot of character development. I never found myself bored waiting for something to happen. They do a great job of introducing us to characters in unique and creepy ways. I am very much looking forward to the next episode and highly recommend setting your DVR.

Leading up to the premier they didn't give us much info about the show - but the iconic figure that appeared on all the marketing campaign ads was an S&M character dressed in a black latex suit. To creep people out even more they held a contest called an American Horror Story house call. Soon to be fans of the TV series could enter a contest online to get creeped out by the latex bastard.
