As many remakes as we have these days you reach a point where you are fed up with it or start to accept the ones that do improve upon the originals. I for one don't mind a well made remake. However the news Campbell dropped about Evil Dead is a little odd. Check it out below.

Bruce Campbell had this to say to TV Guide about the Evil Dead remake.

"We are going to remake it. The first one. And people are a little iffy about that but we wanted to remake a movie with better effects and we're better at telling stories now... There's no 'Ash' character and that pisses people off [but] we didn't want to have the direct comparison. I wouldn't want to put an actor in that position."

He hasn't ruled out a cameo just yet - but a Evil Dead without Ash seems like a terrible idea. I would prefer it not be called Evil Dead or perhaps make it a prequel?
