Shocktillyoudrop is reporting that the next installment of Friday the 13th could be a found footage flick. Say that three times fast. Found footage has been incredibly overused by indie film makers to recapture the Blair Witch magic. However this is one idea I'm on board with.

Brad Fuller at Platinum Dunes said that there is no solid plan in place to even make a sequel to the 2009 reboot let alone it being found footage. That being said he also didn't discount the fact they may be looking for writers to submit ideas for a possible sequel. "There's no other place I'd rather be than Crystal Lake right now," he told Shocktillyoudrop. As previously stated, a sequel penned by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift had not yet been given the green light.

Aside from Platinum Dunes, a slueth of other people including Paramount, New Line and Sean Cunningham would have to sign off on another film. Until everyone can find some common ground and get on the same page no one will be swimming in Crystal Lake for awhile.
