Such Full House catch phrases such as "Cut-it-out!" and "Have Mercy!" come to mind when I hear that the Uruguayan film (La Casa Muda) made merely a year ago has been remade here in America. What is even worse, I'm looking forward to it. Much like its foreign counterpart this movie was filmed in one continious 88 minute shot. It was co-directed by filmmaking duo Chris Kentis and Laura Lau of Open Water fame. Check out the trailer and synopsis below.
Synopsis:
Silent House is a uniquely unsettling horror thriller starring Elizabeth Olsen as Sarah, a young woman who finds herself sealed inside her family's secluded lake house. With no contact to the outside world, and no way out, panic turns to terror as events become increasingly ominous in and around the house.
Silent House will be in theaters March 9, 2012.
