They are bringing out a lot of stars including: Tony Todd (Candyman), Derek Mears (Friday the 13th 2009), Bill Mosley (Devils Rejects, TCM 2), Nancy Allen (Carrie), Danielle Harris(scream queen), Laurence R Harvey (Human Centipede 2), Tom Savini (special f/x king) and that's not even the half of it. They also have quite a few horror TV stars like Norman Reedus (Walking Dead, Boondock Saints) and Sam Trammell (True Blood).
This year will be Frightmare's 7th year! I have heard from multiple horror-nerd friends that this is one of the best conventions in the country. It is being held at the Hyatt Regency at the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport. There is so much more to do then just meet your favorite killer. There are movie screenings Friday and Saturday nights from 6 pm-midnight. Kim Darby is teaching an exclusive 4 hour acting class. Tom Savini has compiled all of his work into a 20 minute video presentation and will do a Q&A.
If you have never been to a horror con the one thing you do need to know is that it can get pricey. Each celebrity charges for autographs and pictures. In my experience each person will charge a fee per item and autograph. On average they charge $25. One could easily spend hundreds of dollars on just autographs, if you got everyone. It is also very easy to get overwhelmed and spend all your money in 10 minutes. That happened to me when I met Bill Mosley. I was shaking with nerves and bought 2 pictures, a poster and had him sign multiple DVD's I brought. $100=gone.

They are constantly adding new celebrities to this list. Just last week they announced Michael Madsen and Patricia Vonne from Robert Rodriguez's Sin City. You also know Madsen from the Tarantino movies “Reservoir Dogs” and “Kill Bill vol. 1 and 2”.
Ticket prices are very reasonable, especially if you pre-order them. Single day passes are $25 each and weekend passes are $65. I'd recommend going for the weekend pass personally. There is also a deal on the hotel room rate for anyone attending the convention if you are coming from out of town or just want to stay on the premises all weekend and experience the after hours parties.
I can not wait! I will be there covering every moment. Check out their website to get every detail and keep up on the news. I will also keep everyone updated in my blog.
