Red State Interview: Brimstone & Birthday Cake
This past Sunday I went to the Westboro Baptist Church. Considered to be the most hated church and family in America. I saw RED STATE a few weeks before and witnessed a Phelps family picket first hand. But i was intrigued to learn more about the family that inspired the Kevin Smith film. |

Red State Screening Takes Interesting Twist
We were at the Midland Theater in KC to screen Red State and protest against the Westboro Baptist Church. Signs were plentiful, chants broke out and songs were sung but nothing could have prepared the audience for what would happen during the Q&A session of the screening. |

SXSW 2011: Dentention - Graduate or Die
Dane Cook is giving you detention. The comedian stars in the teen horror comedy that pits high school seniors against a slasher film come to life. Guess it all depends on how they pull it off but doesn't seem to original - or good. It will probably be laughable. |

SXSW 2011: Insidious
James Wan is the co-creator and director of SAW, which launched the most successful horror movie series of all time as named by Guinness World Records. His other credits include Dead Silence and Death Sentence. Just because you co-created SAW doesn't mean you'll make another great movie. |

SXSW 2011: Silver Bullets Kill Werewolves
No it's not a remake of the Gary Busey and Corey Haim flick Silver Bullet - because nothing could ever live up to that masterpiece of filmmaking. With that being said I know next to nothing about this film and have no trailer to share with you just yet. Stay tuned. |

SXSW 2011: The Divide - Trust No One
Xavier Gens has directed the feature films Hitman and Frontier. Now he brings us The Divide. Starring Michael Biehn whom you might remember from Terminator and more recently The Victim starring his wife Jennifer and Danielle Harris. |
 |
SXSW 2011: Little Deaths Big Tits
This independent UK horror sports a sexy but gruesome poster and a pervert slasher premise. I'm not sure what to make of this film - maybe a House of Devil feel meets the twisted mind of SAW on drugs?

SXSW 2011: My Sucky Teen Romance
This is a cheesy tongue in cheek movie - the title describes it all. Preteens and teens alike will dig this film. Of course there is an Edward like character that plays the cool villian. The teaser poster is pretty awesome and the soundtrack isn't bad either. Give it chance! |

SXSW 2011: Ti West's Innkeepers

SXSW 2011: Super Duo - Wilson and Page
Rainn Wilson could have used some super human strength when he was being turned into fishboy in House of 1000's Corpes. But now he teams up with Ellen Page to bring us a super superhero. |

SXSW 2011: Paul - Cons, Nerds and Aliens
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are back on the big screen again and they brought a star studded cast along with them. Not to mention an alien named Paul. I've loved this duo since Shaun of the Dead and remain loyal. |
